Hello, we’re a social club

TL/DR just join and you’ll see. Love, Velma is now 3 + years old and if you’re still reading hello I’m Nick, I run L,V with a rotating cast and crew. 5 years ago I left my 20 year home in NYC in search of a new way of life. For a couple perhaps almost three decades (but who’s counting), I was a heavy-traveling marketing executive in the music industry (the weird, underground version, not the backstage at Coachella version) and I immersed myself in an ungoldly range of underground live music, art, theatre, burlesque, and devoured ecclectic evenings at smokey jazz clubs, DIY venues, speakeasies, burlesque clubs, raves, cemetaries, and while I don’t remember e-v-e-r-y-thinnng, I hold dear the all-too-fleeting feeling when meeting new friends collides with a shared, immersive art experience in a place I feel safe in.

L,V is an a private social club that blends jazz and cabaret lounge, discotheque, and burlesque club with a twist of Catskills resort. I value well-organized nightlife experiences that also feel improvisational, collaborative, and sexy. I think surprises are what makes life sweet and I also think shows starting on time, great sound, clean bathrooms, nice people, and smooth logistics are of paramount importance to grown ass adults.

We’re now 1800 members deep, and do events about 3 times a month. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible and am always up for new ideas, feedback, and to meet cool people.
