Echo Rhythm Band

Echo Rhythm Band provides the deep grooves and melodies of vintage African diasporic music (think Fela Kuti, Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo and Salif Keita) in a wide-open context of improvising that takes listeners from dub ambience to ecstatic psychedelia. The Hudson Valley based quartet consists of Nikhil P. Yerawadekar (Antibalas, Hailu Mergia) on guitar, Matt Bauder (Father John Misty, Jovanotti) on tenor sax and keyboards, Ben Zwerin (Anjelique Kidjo, Lizz Wright) on bass, and Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls, David Byrne) on drums.
