On Wednesday 12/31/25, we invite you to a re-creation of one of the most socially, cinematically, and fashionably influencial parties of the 1960s.

It was the winter of 1967, and the surrealist, erotic, psychological thriller Belle De Jour was released. The after party for the film's New York premiere was held in the sprawling modernist Catskills home of a couple friendly with the director Luis Buñuel, - the very same property that now houses Love, Velma.

The party was attended by the likes of Salvadore Dali, Catherine Deneuve, Twiggy, Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate, Timothy Leary, Nico, Jim Morrison, Mia Farrow, Jack Nicholson, and Jimi Hendrix and about 60 others of the most influential members of the city’s exploding fashion, film, art, and music scene. While no cameras were allowed, it was largely credited as the unofficial look-book of the era: the "space age" mod look, the bohemian hippie aesthetic, surrealism, and of course lavishly dipped in the eroticism stemming from the film's provocative nature.
